I’m going to make a Windows Media Player 10 skin of this. Much easier to do than the transparent glass look.

I hope that with the last screenshot, with all the icons of the artists, hopefully can change it to a list, because I wouldn’t want to go looking through that if I had more than 1000 things stored on there.

These are fakes (unless this whole Windows XP installation is a new internal recompile). The build tag in the About Windows dialog is not right. Windows XP SP2 is not 5.1 (build: 2600.xpsp.050928-1517 : Service Pack 2), but either 5.1 (build: 2600.xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158 :Service Pack 2) or 5.1 (build: 2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519 : Service Pack 2) (both versions exist of SP2, but not the one visible on that screenshot).

My build is 2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519 : Service Pack 2
Could it not be possible, that this is a beta build of sp2? that would explain the failing sp2 in the tag. The build would be 1517.
Anyway, i saw screenshots of this design in another blog long time before, i think they could be real.

And no, the build is not going to leak, that’s guaranteed.

I hate it when people assume this is real, clealy its not just a skin for wmp 10 and a edited build number. WMP 11 for xp does not have the same build number as its vista counterpart

dummys, the screenshots are definitely not fake. 4779 was built on the 13 of March btw.

I would have loved to give out the source due to scenes and stuff, thats why i even hid the name in the first screenshot

Prince, the screenshots were posted on WinBeta.org’s public irc channel and anyone can post them wherever they like without having to cross anything out. If anything was needed to be crossed out, we would’ve done it in the first place.

» Windows Media Player 11 XP Screenshots InsideMicrosoft - part of the Blog News Channel
[...] Apparently, Winbeta’s been sharing some screenshots of Windows Media Player 11, the Windows XP version expected this summer, on its IRC channel, since one blogger has nicely reposted them. It looks virtually identical to the Windows Vista version we’ve been seeing, minus Glass of course, although knowing Microsoft, some features will be Vista-exclusive. Still, you can see MTV’s URGE in there, and that is the big selling point. (via Digg) Posted: 5/2/2006 by Nathan Weinberg in: [...]
